Hotel Policies
Thank you for choosing to stay with us at The Malibu Country Inn. Please read the following policies carefully. By signing your registration card at check-in, you agree to abide by all hotel policies and procedures.

ID REQUIREMENT
For security purposes, a valid photo ID is required at check-in. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, passport, or government-issued ID.
Guests must be 18 years or older to reserve a room.

ROOM & RATES
All rates and room types include access to property amenities.
Check-In: 3:00 PM
Check-Out: 11:00 AM
The room rental period begins at 3:00 PM and ends at 11:00 AM the following day.
The front desk closes at midnight; all guests must check in before that time.

EXTRA GUEST / BEDDING POLICY
An additional $10 per guest per night will be charged for guests exceeding standard occupancy.
All occupancy must comply with hotel safety regulations.

SPECIFIC ROOM REQUESTS
Room requests are noted but not guaranteed and are subject to availability.

EARLY CHECK-IN POLICY
Early check-in is based on availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact the hotel in advance.

LATE CHECK-OUT POLICY
Late check-out is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Until 2:00 PM: $150 fee

After 2:00 PM: Full night charge applies

CANCELLATION POLICY
We require 72 hours’ notice prior to arrival for free cancellation.

Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged one night’s room and tax

First night’s room and tax will be charged at the time of booking

Any reduction in stay is subject to the full reservation value (including taxes)

SPECIAL EVENT / HIGH DEMAND POLICY
Reservations during high-demand periods are non-refundable.

Full reservation amount is charged in case of cancellation or no-show

Changes allowed up to 14 days prior with a $25 administrative fee

GROUP BOOKING POLICY (5+ GUESTS)
For all group bookings of more than 5 guests, the hotel reserves the right to charge:

15% of the total stay amount

This charge will be processed 30 days prior to arrival
This policy ensures commitment and protects inventory during high-demand periods.

CREDIT / DEBIT CARD POLICY
All cards will be authorized at check-in for the full stay plus incidentals.
Funds will be held until check-out, when final charges are processed.

CASH PAYMENT POLICY
Cash payments are accepted at check-out only.
A valid credit card and matching ID must be provided at check-in for authorization.

NOISE / DISTURBANCE POLICY
The hotel reserves the right to charge a disturbance fee if compensation is required for other guests.
Guests causing excessive noise, disruption, or unsafe behavior may be asked to leave without refund.

PACKAGE HANDLING POLICY
The hotel is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

Packages are accepted only for registered guests

A signature is required upon receipt and delivery

Packages are held for a maximum of 7 days

A $5 daily storage fee may apply after that period

PET POLICY
Pets are allowed in designated pet-friendly rooms only.

$50 per pet per stay (non-refundable)

Maximum: 2 pets = $100 total per stay

Service animals are exempt from all fees

Guests must:

Sign a pet agreement

Take responsibility for any damages or disturbances

Keep pets leashed at all times

Not leave pets unattended unless crated

Keep pets out of the pool area

Clean up after pets
(Dogs only)

SMOKING POLICY
The hotel is 100% smoke-free.

A $250 cleaning fee will be charged for violations
-
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas (bottom of driveway on Westward Beach Rd)
-
Smoking is not allowed near entrances, rooms, or parking areas
